Single Line Diagram

a one-line diagram or single-line diagram is a simplified notation for representing an electrical system. The one-line diagram is similar to a block diagram except that electrical elements such as switches, circuit breakers, transformers, and capacitors are shown by standardized schematic symbols.

GA- General Arrangement

It may be referred to as ‘location or elevation drawings’ as it show the location or elevation of various components and assemblies within the overall design of Electrical Panel.

Good GA design includes accurate physical layout drawings and schematic drawings. This minimizes problems and delivery delays due to unresolved physical layout problems discovered during production or testing.

Procedure or Included..
 Produce a summarized sketch of the panel and components including approximate positions, possibly including a list of components.
 Set up your drawing scales and insert a border and view ports.
 Insert a panel into the model. Add any additional plates to the panel. All the plates will be exploded out and you will be transferred to the General Arrangement layout.
 Mount any devices and instruments, accessories and terminal strips, on the plate(s).
